چکیده

The percentage pollutant removal obtained by the previous work were very good in terms of BOD5 which was 95% removal, TSS 97% but unsatisfactory NH4-N, NO3-N and P 39%, 41% 44% respectively-The effect recycling portion effluent discharged from 2ND. Cell, a VSSF constructed wetland back to 1ST. cell on nutrient efficiency studied this research. The intermittent feeding influent recycled quantity had system aeration dissolving air trapped voids substrates before each doss using it activate aerobic bacteria. The Nitrification denitrification enhanced process. Recycling with low BOD & COD when mixed raw wastewater infeed will increase helps nitrification process most oxygen has been consumed, microorganisms during biological chemical degradation pollutant, than start transfer NO3-, ultimately, N2 gas.The hydrology condition good, water running laminar form detention time highest July lowest January as expected due evapotranspiration reaches its January. The maturity reed plant extension their stems roots may have positive influence on:- Aerobic required for supplying more outside atmosphere system.- Adsorbing heavy metal ions extended plant.- Increased uptake plants results lowering effluent.

Nutrient removal from wastewater by wetland systems

For past so many years wetlands have served functions like providing habitat for aquatic and terrestrial plants and animals, for recreational activities and for treatment of polluted water. Both natural and constructed wetlands gave been used for treatment for wastewater from sewage, septic tanks, agricultural activities, industries, landfills and highways, etc. Treatment of wastewater in a wet...

Wastewater Treatment with Vertical Flow Constructed Wetland

Water is one of the most important elements involved in the creation and development of healthy life. Haphazard disposal of untreated wastewater from households as well as institutions and industry is causing severe deterioration of water bodies in many urban areas in the developing world. There are several methods to treat the municipal wastewater for intended use. One of the methods of the tr...

A novel subsurface flow constructed wetland system used in anvanced wastewater treatment for nutrient removal in a cold area

Due to the limitations of a cold climate to a conventionally constructed wetland system(CWS) during anual operation, a new type of compound double-layer subsurface flow wetland system was developed. A full-scale test trial of this system has been operated in the Northeast of China, which was used for advanced sewage treatment. By increasing the depth of the wetland structure, setting down insul...

Nitrogen removal from industrial wastewater by hybrid constructed wetland systems

The efficiency in nitrogen removal from wastewater generated at CSBP Ltd fertiliser and chemical manufacturer by two hybrid constructed wetland mesocosms was compared. The mesocosms were set up in order to help clarify the reasons why the two year old constructed wetland located at the industrial facility, a 1.2 ha free water surface/vertical flow conjugated system, has performed under the 50% ...

Removal of Mercury from Wastewater Using a Constructed Wetland

Removal of mercury from municipal wastewater using a constructed wetland was studied. Wastewater, wetland plant, and sediment samples were analyzed using an advanced mercury analyzer AMA-254. Average concentrations of total mercury in inflow and outflow water were 0.157 and 0.057 μg L−1, respectively. Significant fraction of mercury (38.2 %) was removed from wastewater during pretreatment. Merc...
